The steeplechase is a sport
that began as a race through the countryside
from one church steeple to another
with natural obstacles to cross along the way.

Our steeplechase is a personal race
 – a wonderful journey from temple to temple steeple –
with symbolic obstacles to cross along the way.

South Jordan is the first city in the world to have two LDS temples – Oquirrh Mountain and Jordan River.  Come join our neighborhood 5 mile steeplechase between these two Angel Moroni-capped steeples. Open your eyes to the glories around you (sunrise, mountaintops, valley views, flowers). And learn that no steeplechase would be complete without a few obstacles to hurdle along the way (highways, canals, gutters, bumps). Find metaphors of life throughout the course of this 2012 Temple to Temple Steeplechase. Run or walk - but enjoy the journey!
"and let us run with patience the race that is set before us"  (Hebrews 12:1)
